Anastasia聽Daraseliya, 色控传媒postgraduate student of聽the Institute of聽Applied Mathematics and Communications Technology, participated in聽the聽The IEEE International Symposium on聽Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications was held in聽London (UK) from August 31聽to聽September聽3, 2020. The conference was held online on聽Whova platform together with Zoom.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a world leader in the development of standards for radio electronics, electrical engineering, computer hardware systems and networking, has been an organizer of the conference since 1991. The current conference is the 31st on account. This year the conference was held by the leading universities of Europe and the world — King’s College London (QS 31) and University College London (QS 10). The Symposium is one of the two largest conferences of the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) in the field of wireless communication and networks. At this juncture, the conference brings together industry and academic communities.

At the Conference, reports on the latest original research results in all areas of wireless technology, as well as in web applications, services and business were presented. The technical sessions attended PhD students and researchers from different countries of the world, Great Britain, USA, Germany, France, China, India and others.

Anastasia made a presentation “Handling Overflow Traffic in Millimeter Wave 5G NR Deployments using NR-U Technology” in the cellular network section. The paper proposes the joint use of new 5G New Radio and WiGig wireless technologies in the millimeter band, and calculates the base station densities to support this density of user devices with the prescribed quality of service guarantees in terms of ergodic capacity. From the mathematical point of view, a massive mathematical device was used, which includes tools of stochastic geometry, queueing theory and renewal theory.

The attendees had the opportunity to participate in discussions with researchers, receive useful feedback and initiate new collaborations. The lectures served as a basis for further development of research within the framework of the 5G wireless communication concept. The lectures covered network architectures and protocol design of fifth-generation networks, as well as issues of radio resource management, power consumption and traffic congestion, and optimization of new wireless communication systems.

色控传媒post-graduate student had an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the research results of the leading specialists, identify promising areas of scientific research and the possibility of introducing innovations, establish creative and working relationships, and discuss opportunities for creating environment conducive to cooperation.

In聽2017, 色控传媒University scientists constructed a聽new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for聽2-dimensional聽Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a聽new scheme [2] to聽construct a聽numerical solution to聽the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as聽satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to聽achieve previously unattainable accuracy of聽the continuity equation.

The Institute of Demographic Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 色控传媒have published the Demographic Encyclopedia in Persons

The collection consists of two volumes and includes biographical information about Russian demographers and their scientific research. The first volume is devoted to the research of the Pre-Revolutionary period, the second to the works of the Soviet era and the present.
