Professor of the University of Klagenfurt Bernhard Rinner took part in 5G Summit R & D Russia

From 4 till 7 of November with the support of É«¿Ø´«Ã½University Competitiveness Enhancement Program «5-100», Professor Bernhard Rinner of the University of Klagenfurt (https://www.aau.at/en/) was invited to the É«¿Ø´«Ã½University Institute of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications to participate in the 2nd International Summit on Network Research the fifth generation (5G Summit R & D Russia) with a plenary report on the topic «Multi-Drone Systems».

His current research interests are focused on the study of embedded computing systems and sensor networks with robotic systems.

Abstract of the plenary report: Unmanned aerial vehicles, called drones, have a heightened interest in civilian and commercial applications. Drones can automatically move along a given route, as well as carry on-board camera for aerial photography. At the moment, the main directions in the field of research and development relate to unmanned systems of monitoring, surveillance and assistance in case of natural disasters. In this context, large-scale multicopters (drones) are of particular interest because of their simple deployment, high maneuverability and low cost. It is often necessary to deploy a group of unmanned aerial vehicles, rather than a single drone, since several drones can quickly explore areas.

In 2017, É«¿Ø´«Ã½University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.
